Hebrews

Let love of the brothers and sisters continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, because in doing so some have hosted angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as though you were in prison with them, and those who are suffering as though you are suffering with them. Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, because God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Be free from the love of money, content with what you have, because He has said, “I will never leave you, nor will I abandon you.” So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear. What can people do to me?” Remember your leaders, who spoke to you the Gospel-word of God; consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Jesus Messiah is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried away by different and strange teachings, for it is good that the heart be strengthened by grace, not by rules about foods and meals, which did not benefit those who kept them. We have an altar from which those who serve in the tabernacle have no right to eat. For the bodies of those animals, whose blood the high priest brings into the holy place as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also, to make the people holy by his own blood, suffered outside the gate. So let us go out to him outside the camp, bearing the abuse he suffered. For we do not have here a lasting city, but we seek the city to come. Through him, then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, our words giving thanks to His name. And do not neglect to do good and to share, because with such sacrifices God is pleased. Obey your leaders and submit to them, because they keep watch over you and will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, because that would not be good for you. Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience and desire to conduct ourselves honorably in all things. And I urge you to pray that I may be restored to you very soon. Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep, our lord Jesus, through the blood of the covenant of the age to come, equip you with every good thing to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Messiah, to whom be the glory to the ages of the ages. Amen. Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to bear with my word of exhortation, because I have written to you briefly. Know that our brother Timothy has been freed, and with him, if he comes soon, I will see you. Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. Those from Italy send their greetings. Grace be with you all.
